Red Bull have turned us down again. Living With a Lion Racing have decided to withdraw from Soapbox events for the forseeable future and will be assessing our next move in the racing world.
Due to recent turn down from Red Bull AGAIN!! We are considering selling the soapbox cart, which would easily convert to a 50’s 60’s racing car or even a space rocket! To make an offer or arrange a viewing email Keith at email@example.com.
A Podium finish for the Living With a Lion Racing team, taking 3rd place at the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice Soapbox Derby. Jess the dog proudly takes her place on the podium supporting her owner, our driver, Dave. A good way to end the racing season!
Please take a moment to appreciate the danger in this sport. A recent road test run went horribly wrong when the brakes failed on our cart in a downhill run at a speed recorded at 40mph. The only way to slow the cart was the use of Dave’s skin on rubber, causing severe pain!! We have now Uprated the brakes and fitted an emergency hand brake. We endure the commitment and suffering to raise money for our charity. Please help by making a donation.
Thank you, so very much.
Sunday 28th August 2016 We did the Micklegate Run, racing down the old cobble streets of York. We reached the top ten fastest carts final run and we came in tenth overall but what we lacked in speed we made up for in style. Here’s me proud as punch, holding the trophy for best innovative design at the Autohorn Micklegate Run Soapbox Challenge 2016!
2017 Red Bull Soapbox Race, Alexander Palace London!
we’ve applied! We live in hope, maybe 3rd time lucky?
